Call for Scenario Submissions – The Scenario Compass Initiative (SCI)
The Scenario Compass Initiative (SCI) is now accepting submissions of global scenarios released since the IPCC's AR6. They invite you to contribute your scenarios to help shape a comprehensive, accessible resource for decision-makers worldwide.
Why Submit?
The Scenario Compass Initiative, a collaboration between leading institutions from the global scenario community and key scenario users, is developing the 'Scenario Compass', an innovative platform to make the vast array of scenarios produced by the research community easier to navigate and apply. By contributing your scenario, you will:
- Reach a broader audience: SCI will help showcase your scenario to policymakers, businesses, and organizations looking for data-driven insights.
- Ensure visibility: Your work will be included in a highly respected global platform and a related scientific flagship publication, ensuring it becomes part of decision-making for sustainable transitions.

What is New?
SCI is building a live database and user-friendly interface to help stakeholders easily compare and interpret scenarios based on relevant criteria like energy balances, climate impacts, and policy implications. By joining this effort, your scenario will be evaluated and categorized to highlight its key characteristics and applicability for decision-makers.
The deadline for scenario submissions is March 1st, 2025. All submitted scenarios will be assessed and featured in the first release of the Scenario Compass platform.
