IAM COMPACT at the Energy Modelling Platform – Joint Global Training School 2024 (EMP-G)

The EMP-G training school, developed with UNDESA, IAEA, UNDP, IRENA, The World Bank Group, SEforALL, WRI, Imperial College London, the OpTIMUS community of practice, and the Climate Compatible Growth, has the main goal of creating a space where free trainings, discussions and cooperation can create awareness, arise interest, and teach models and tools needed for a sustainable planning. 

This year's EMP-G was held from 12th to 23rd August, with colleagues from KTH and TUM taking part in these trainings to skill up in CLEWs modelling framework, supporting the capacity building in southern countries. Additionally, KTH organised a new “train-the-trainer” program, on behalf of the IAM COMPACT project, and in collaboration with CCG and RE-INTEGRATE. Training trainers is considered by all to be at the core of capacity development and knowledge sharing, and a fundamental step to build communities of practice.
